From listening to improvising
Interested in jazz or blues? Tell me a favorite guitarist, a tune you’re working on, or a musical question you want to explore. You can also begin with basic chords and timing; previous improvisation experience is not required.
For Fort Greene and Downtown Brooklyn inquiries, share your current playing experience, preferred schedule, and where you would like lessons to take place. We’ll confirm the format, location, and rate individually.
What we can work on
Both acoustic and electric guitar students are welcome.
- Guitar basics, technique, rhythm, and favorite songs
- Rock, pop, blues, jazz, and improvisation
- Music theory, songwriting, and creative music-making
- Instruction in English or Japanese
Lesson inquiries
Because I work with students in different parts of Brooklyn, lesson location and current availability are arranged individually. Please include your neighborhood and whether you’re seeking lessons for yourself or your child.
You can also explore kids’ lessons or adult lessons before contacting me.
